Anti-Drug Awareness Pledge was taken by the students and staff members of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College on 11.08.2025 during video programme of Mr.Udayanithi stalin, Vice-Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, who took pledge on Anti-drug. Mr.K.B.Velliyangiri, Principal, Lecturers and students took part in the programme.
In view of Tamil Nadu State NSS sponsored by Department of Youth Welfare and Sports Development Seminar on Traditional Games for Youth was organized at Bharathidasan University, Trichy from 08.08.2025 to 10.08.2025. Selvan S.Sam Infant won first place in Tug of war and Kabadi. He achieved second place in Potato Relay and Nondi Competitions. Selvi P.Santhana Lakshmi won first place in Tug of war and Nondi Rely(women) Competitions and won third place in Kavattai competitions.
A national level technical symposium under Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian society for Technical Education(ISTE) was organized at Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College on 04.09.2025. 128 Number of students participated from various polytechnic College Cash Prize Rs: 1500 /- was offered for the student who get first place in paper presentation and Rs: 1000/- was offered for the student who get second place. Participation Certificates were issued to all the students who participated in Technical Symposium.
A Workshop on Robotics and Automation was jointly organised by ECE,EEE, MECH and CT departments of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam and TRANSEN DYNAMICS on 12.12.2025(Friday) at New AV Hall in the Polytechnic College. TRANSEN DYNAMICS –CEO, Dr. Kennithraj Anbu, and AI & Robotics Specialist, He explained Robotics & Automation Development. He showed a demo on how to Assemble Cobot Robot Hardware Parts through Software. Students actively participated in the programme. The students were motivated to become entrepreneurs. Mr.K.B.Velliyangiri , Principal presided over the function . Dr.G.Roja, Vice principal, gave felicitation address. Mr.G.Rajaraman , Dean/Academic proposed vote of thanks.
Anti Ragging Committee Meeting -2025 was organized at Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam on 15.09.2025. Mr.K.Ganeshkumar, Superintendent of Police and Mr.K.Kannan, Sub-Inspector of Police, Vallam participated and shared their thoughts about the menace of Ragging. Mrs.K.Selvarani Kalyana Sundaram, President, Vallam, Town Panchayat, Dr.U.Parveen, Secretary, Power, participated in meeting. Mr.K.B.Velliyangiri, Principal, Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College. Dr.G.Roja, Vice-Principal, Mr.S.Michaelraj, Student Counselor, HODs of all departments, Students and their Parents got involved in the Meeting.
Blood Donation Camp was jointly organized by NSS of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College and Blood Bank of Thanjavur Medical College Hospital on 19.9.2025. Mr.K.B.Velliyangiri, Principal inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp.
