Students of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam, brought laurels to the institution by securing Third Place in regional-level Kabaddi and Football tournaments held at various venues.The Inter-Polytechnic Football Tournament, organized annually by the Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association (IPAA). The Thanjavur regional-level football tournament was conducted on 07.01.2026 at Shanmugha Polytechnic College. A total of 12 polytechnic teams from the Thanjavur region participated in the event. The students of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College secured Third Place in the tournament. The Inter-Polytechnic Kabaddi Tournament organized by the Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association (IPAA) was held on 08.01.2026 at Annai Polytechnic College. A total of 11 polytechnic teams from the Thanjavur region participated. The students of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College once again secured Third Place in this competition.

Students of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam, achieved remarkable success by securing Second Place in the regional-level Volleyball tournament. The Inter-Polytechnic Volleyball Tournament, organized annually by the Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association (IPAA). The Thanjavur regional-level volleyball tournament was held on 30.01.2026 at Dr. Kalam Polytechnic College. A total of 15 polytechnic teams from the Thanjavur region participated, and the team from Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College secured Second Place.
The Bonded Labour System Abolition Pledge was observed at Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam on 09.02.2026 at around 11:00 a.m. The event was attended by the Principal, Mr. K.B. Velliyangiri; the Vice Principal, Dr. G. Roja, the Dean/Acdemic, Mr. G. Rajaraman; Heads of Departments; faculty members; NSS Programme Officers Mrs. G. Sengodi, Mr. P. Madhavan, and Mr. R. Natarajan, and students of the college.

The free laptop distribution function of the Government of Tamil Nadu was held at Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam.Under the Government of Tamil Nadu’s scheme, a grand function was organized to distribute free laptops to students of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam. Around 217 second-year students from all the departments received free laptops. The event was held on 11.02.2026 (Wednesday) at the college campus. Honorable Mr. T.K.G. Neelamegam,the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Thanjavur, participated in the function and delivered the presidential address.

Students of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam, participated in the National Level Technical Symposium held on 04.02.2026 and 05.02.2026 at Nachimuthu Polytechnic College, Pollachi. In the Technical Paper Presentation, M.Ashika Sultana and J.Jennifer, students of Architectural Department, won the Third Prize. In the Project Presentation, R.Naveen Kumar and M.Saravanan, students of Computer Engineering secured the Third Prize. J.Jennifer, student of Architectural also won the Second Prize in the “CAD Modeling” competition. R.Gokul Krishna, student of Mechanical Engineering won the Third Prize in the “Technical Photography” competition. R.Tarun Balaji and Selvan. S.Aravind, students of Electronics and Communication Engineering secured the Second Prize in the “Electro Fix” competition.

In the academic year 2025–2026, several reputed industries have continued conducting campus interviews. In the drive held on 10.02.2026, Anugraha Valve Private Limited, Coimbatore, , Logskim Private Ltd., Chennai, TVS Motor Company, Hosur and Larson & Tuobro Pvt, Ltd, Coimbatore selected around 70 final-year students from Periyar Polytechnic College.The students who received their appointment orders during the campus interview held on 10.02.2026.
