A Medical Camp was conducted at Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam, with the participation of the medical team from Nova Hospital, Thanjavur on 27.12.2025 at 10:00 a.m under National Service Scheme (NSS). The camp was inaugurated by Mr. K.B. Velliyangiri Principal of the college. Dr. V.R. Vignesh from Nova Hospital, Thanjavur, along with his medical team, visited the Polytechnic College and conducted medical examinations. Approximately 75 professors and staff members of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College participated and benefited from the camp.
A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) under the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme was conducted at Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam, from 15.12.2025 to 20.12.2025. For the academic year 2025–2026, a six-day Faculty Development Programme on the topic “IoT & Sensor Integration”. A total of 15 professors from various polytechnic colleges participated in the training programme. The Naan Mudhalvan Scheme SPOC (Single Point of Contact) of the college,Mr. R. Ayyanathan, coordinated the Faculty Development Programme.
PAPER PRESENTATION Students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of our college participated in “MECH STORM – 2K26”, a National Level Technical Symposium held on 08.01.2026 at Arasu Polytechnic College, Kumbakonam.In the Paper Presentation competition, Selvan. S.D. Hariharan third-year Mechanical Engineering student won the First Prize for his presentation on the topic “Integration of AI & IoTs in Predictive Maintenance of Mechanical Systems.” He also secured the Third Prize in the CAD Modeling competition. Selvan. S.D. Hariharan brought pride to the institution by winning certificates of appreciation and cash awards.
Grand Science Exhibition 2026 was organized at Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College, Vallam, in connection with the 93rd birth anniversary (Founder’s Day) of the Institution’s Founder. The exhibition was conducted under the aegis of the Periyar Science Forum and commenced on 12.01.2026 at 10:00 a.m. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. K. Meena, Professor from the Department of Computer Science at Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology.On this occasion, an expert committee from Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology participated in the event. More than 100 project models were displayed at the exhibition
