RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT(R&D)
PERIYAR SCIENCE CLUB
With a view to bring out the talents of the young
technocrats and the budding engineers to encourage them to involve themselves
in designing the application oriented mini projects by using their own
technical concepts and indigenous resources and translate the idea into
action, our Founder Chairperson inaugurated Periyar Science Club at our campus
on 22.12.09.
In the inaugural address he emphasised the need to maintain
the scientific temper of the student community and develop their knowledge of
Science and Technology for the benefit of the society as a whole. Mention
should be made that our Founder Chairperson first contributed Rs. 10,000/-
towards the Periyar Science Club fund which has at present grown into Rs.
1,00,000 Lakh.

Club - Projects
Project competition was conducted under Periyar Science Club
on 13.02.09. Judges from Periyar Maniammai University visited and and
selected the Innovative Best Projects I, II & III accomplished under Research
and Development Cell and Cash Prize of Rs. 1000, Rs. 750, Rs. 500 for the
winners and consolation prize of Rs. 300 is given to the remaining six
departments.
