Extra Curricular Activities

RED RIBBON CLUB(RRC)	As a part of Tamil Nadu State AIDS control society, Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is functioning. The students are educated on HIV / AIDS to safeguard themselves A one day programme on AIDS Awareness was organized for the benefit of the students. Ms. G. Koperundevi, RRC Field Officer, Thanjavur District delivered a lecture on AIDS.





SPORTS AND GAMES	29th Annual Sports Day Celebration was held in our campus on 18.08.08. Our Founder Chairperson presided over the function. Selvan A.King Jude / CT and Selvi S.Subitha / CT won Individual Championship.





INTER POLYTECHNIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (IPAA)	In the Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association (IPAA) Divisional Sports Meet at MAM Polytechnic College, Trichy. The following place have been secured * Winner - Ball Badminton * Runner - Volley Ball * Runner - Tennikoit * Selvi





KARATE	" A sound mind lies in a sound body". The students are given training in Karate for self defence.





YOGA	Yoga classes are conducted to keep the students body and mind hale and healthy.





Gym	GYM is established in the campus for the staff and students to keep them fit and fine.





INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS	Institution of Engineers (I) Students Chapter was inaugurated on 18.07.08. IE(I)Chapter organises various programmes like guest lecture, seminars, industrial visits, soft skill and personality development etc., to enhance the student skill and knowledge.





TAMIL NADU STATE COUNCIL FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (TNSCST)	A National Level Seminar on Quality assurance in Textiles was organised by the Department of Garment Technology for the students from various Polytechnic Colleges on 19.09.08 & 19.09.08. 100 students from various Polytechnic College attended the seminar.
