Periyar Centenary
Polytechnic College is partially aided by the Government of Tamil Nadu,
India. It is offering technician level Diploma programmes in Engineering
and Non-Engineering disciplines to Post-Secondary girls selected according to
state prescribed norms. The institution has been
awarded academic autonomy for the "Diploma programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering". For all other programmes,
it is to use state prescribed curricula and evaluation system. The Diploma in Architectural
Assistantship is offered through sandwich pattern. The institution is
administered by a Governing Council and is expected to fulfill all Government
rules and regulations.It has the responsibility to
provide services needed by the Business, Industry and the Community in
general, rural women in particular, by offering training, Technology
Transfer, Consultancy and other service.
